Educational Technology Service

To realize the vision of "Becoming a global leader to provide technology services", Wistron continues to advance in core businesses, enhance relevant investments and strategies, and expand value-added innovation and services in the area of education. ETS (Educational Technology Service) was established on November 1st in 2012, with a devotion to designing platforms for smart education, increasing research and development on educational software / hardware, and constructing "future classrooms" along with total solutions for smart education. Our goal is utilizing these resources and facilities to build a new model for the education of the next generation.

The conception of ETS's educational platform

ETS's educational platform is designed to achieve the overall goal of smart education through "Lean Teaching" (live, easy, associative, and networked) and Smart Learning (social, mobile, adaptive, remote, and technology).

ETS offers a total solution for smart education, WiEdu -- an open cloud platform, constructed upon cloud education. It aims to balance and share resources in education, to enhance the quality in education, and to reduce the digital gap between urban and rural area; through which, creates digital opportunity for every student.

WiEdu features "open whiteboard" function, combining an interactive feedback and status sharing system, broadens tablet application in teaching and promotes the effectiveness of teaching. It also provides high cost / performance ratio Wifi environment to support smooth teaching activities with our cloud services. WieEdu incorporates real-life classrooms and virtual classrooms, allowing teachers to teach on-line and through video courses, and to also grade the students on-line. All the resources and information can be shared and stored in the cloud platform; the record of each student's performances is filed for further analysis. Teachers may use the analysis to design customized courses and instructions for each student and help them explore their strengths and weaknesses and to discover their potential. Such implementation of "flipped classroom" and "virtual classroom" are bases for a more refined adaptive education environment.

Wistron's cloud services for K-12 education

In order to compliment the latest smart educational policy that advocates the vision of combining information, technology and humanity to lead schools toward a sustainable development, Wistron engages in building an innovative platform for K-12 education. The platform contains three aspects -- smart campus, smart classroom, and smart learning, and provides different functions listed below to suffice the needs in K-12 education. Through integrating "learning analysis", "physical service", and "on-line service", the cloud platform aims to operate sustainably and benefit the educational system in the long run.
